The aim of mixed media installation is to challenge the customary boundaries of contemporary art. By introducing mixed genres and materials, the basic precepts of art are challenged and explored. As a result, a continually evolving visual language unfolds. The work becomes more than descriptive, conceptual, or object-driven. Installation is meant to raise questions as well as  introduce new perceptions about art.

My installations are made of wood, paper, and foamcore board that provide sculptural supports for graphite, acrylic paint, acrylic ink, aluminum, wire, and an ever-expanding range of materials.  The materials in turn support experimentation with scale as well as thematic possibilities. The search for new visual language and themes is key to the work.
